David Chreng-Messembourg | PARTNER

David is one of the founding partners of LeadBlock Partners. He has an engineering and fundamental investment background with years spent on Biophysics R&D, industry research, corporate strategy and financial modelling. He first learned about Blockchain technology a decade ago when he was working on his research project, investigating DNA using quantum mechanics and computational techniques.

Previously, David worked as an equity analyst at Goldman Sachs in London, covering the Energy sector, and providing investment insights and ideas to global fund managers on equity securities. He spent the past years working on ESG-related projects, including on initiatives Big Energy companies could consider to lower carbon emissions. His prior experiences include working in R&D on biophysics projects, in finance and strategy in various industries including in Healthcare (Novartis), Retail/Luxury Goods (L'OreĢal/McKinsey) and Financial Services (Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Deloitte). David is a mentor at Article 1 (France) and SEO London (UK), two non-profit organizations dedicated to combat ethnic and social inequalities. He was on the Board of Directors of Article 1 for four years.

David holds a BSc in Chemistry from Imperial College London (UK), with a major in quantum mechanics and computational chemistry. As part of his degree, he spent a year studying Management at Imperial College Business School (UK). He also holds a MSc in Corporate Finance from EDHEC Business School (France). He followed several online courses during his spare time including on Blockchains, Algorithms and Machine Learning (Coursera). He speaks French, English and Cambodian fluently.
